Sr. CAD Manager
Responsibilities
- Supports various project teams’ utilization of Bentley engineering software from 3D modeling into design and production (ProjectWise; OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer).
- Develops software templates and resource files based upon client standards for efficient 3D design and modeling of roadways, drainage, and utility design elements.
- Develops processes and techniques for rapid 3D visualization of design concepts.
- Provides regular tech support to project teams through online training, webinars, and direct support.
- Provides leadership in project setup and configuration to support efficient workflows.
- Tests, refines, and creates documentation of CAD-based workflows using the latest software and hardware technology.
- Supports and communicates established workflows to internal staff through one-on-one training and team-wide seminar formats.
- Creates and updates CAD training materials, including manuals and videos.
- Responds to requests for over-the-shoulder support in a timely and effective manner and maintains searchable documentation of support solutions.
- Troubleshoots design file, workspace, and file management issues as needed.
- Monitors emerging trends and technological capabilities in the industry and develops strategies to incorporate these capabilities where appropriate.
- Reviews potential program-enhancement plugins and extensions.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design production using Bentley software.
- Experience and expertise with MicroStation and current Bentley software, including OpenRoads technology, 3D modeling, and ProjectWise.
- Knowledge of support products, including Esri and Microsoft Office products.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of employees in an organization.
- High level of accuracy in work product.
